Everyone came early to have breakfast and 'borak-borak' with each other discussing about why some people were late (ehem ehem) just kidding lor!!! Shortly after that, we adjourned to the tee box to start the whackings but wait...not before we have a snapshot against the most famous backdrop in golf. Ye ke?
Aha the famous Templer backdrop...
The course played tough (biasa la templer) with greens well guarded by bunkers on every hole, I dunno why people wanna play here? Course management was essential with 'risk and reward' shots lurking at every opportunity usually getting golfers into trouble (tell me why again are we playing here?) Nonetheless the course played fair and good shots were rewarded with opportunities to save par as birdie chances were a few. Ok I don't know maybe other flights had more looks than I did? In the end the heat proved to be too much as our caddy almost 'pengsan'ed on the 16th hole. According to my flight mates...I tortured her...haha yeah rite!!!
Saiful taking a stroll across the stream on the par 3, 16th ala Augusta!
Finally the end was near as we approached the famous 'go for it' tee shot on the 18th hole. Well let's just say the day was just so hot that I wanted to take a dip in the pond 'splash! ahh what a feeling...' and with that it pretty much summed up my miserable outing in Templer but never mind all in the name of good sportsmanship and in the spirit of get together golf...I think we all enjoyed ourselves plus the caddy recovered too...see...golf is good!!!
Nice & easy swing = 100% fairway hits!!!After a nice Japanese bath, we were served hot Soba before the winners were announced. Newcomer Azizul grabbed top honours with the best gross of 80 wow, great score that, while the best nett went to Khairul Anwar with a nett score of 73, well done there. I would like to congratulate all the other winners too for their excellent play and to the other golfers, don't worry well played just no luck, haha...so until our next game, take care and happy golfing!!!
